A photographer, environmentalist and filmmaker, Ashima Narain is someone who stands apart from the rest. In 2017, Time magazine included her on a list of 34 women photographers from around the world to follow. Ashima has tried her hand at everything including stints with a lifestyle magazine, before moving into making wildlife documentaries. Her travels took her closer to India - the economic disparity, the multiculturalism, the different environments alongside many simultaneous levels of development and it pushed her towards photojournalism. This Award winning photographer and documentary filmmaker explains the art of visual storytelling in this session for Pixel Village.
